Shaw sets Women’s Super League hat-trick record in victory against Spurs
Manchester City Women’s Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw set a new record for the most hat-tricks in Barclays Women’s Super League history when she scored three goals in a decisive 4-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium in England on Friday.
According to a Man City match report, Shaw became the first player ever to score three hat-tricks against the same opponent in Barclays Women’s Super League history.
Shaw scored her opening goal only 21 seconds into the match played in front of 10,000 fans. Within 15 minutes, the Jamaican-born striker managed to double Man City’s lead. She completed her historic hat-trick midway through the second period.
A fourth goal for the match was scored by Jill Roord.
Manchester City Women has now gone 11 matches unbeaten across all competitions since the start of the 2024/25 season.
