WATA, distributed by Wisynco Group Limited, has announced Jamaican footballer Jody Brown as its newest brand ambassador. The two-year partnership is part of Wata’s ongoing support of local talent and its deep connection to sports within the Jamaican community.
Jody Brown, a forward for Jamaica’s national senior women’s football team, Reggae Girlz, as well as the Benfica Women’s team, which is based in Lisbon, Portugal, has made significant strides in her career, representing Jamaica at both national and international levels. Known for her impressive skill and dedication to the sport, Brown’s partnership with Wata aligns with the brand’s focus on encouraging excellence and perseverance in athletes.
Announcing the new partnership, Melisa-Kim Johnson, consumer marketing manager, Wisynco Group, said, “We are excited to welcome Jody to the Wata family. Her hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievements in football reflect the values we hold as a brand. She has inspired so many, and we look forward to working with her as she continues to make Jamaica proud, both at home and on the world stage.”
Brittany Roberts, Wata brand manager, shared her enthusiasm about the partnership.
“Jody’s journey is a powerful testament to what can be achieved with commitment and passion. We are delighted to have her on board and to support her in the next chapter of her career. Her success, both locally and internationally, aligns perfectly with Wata’s vision of empowering young Jamaicans through sport,” said Roberts.
Sharing her excitement for the partnership, Brown remarked, “It is an honour to be associated with Wata, a truly Jamaican brand that cares about community and people upliftment.”
“This partnership is a perfect fit, and I am grateful to be part of a team that supports and celebrates Jamaican athletes. Growing up I always dreamed big, and I want to inspire young girls to do the same. Now I have an even bigger platform to help make that happen,” Brown added.
Brown’s ambassadorship adds to Wata’s growing portfolio of athlete partnerships, which includes Jamaican track athletes Shericka Jackson and the Clayton twins, Tia and Tina.
“Wata remains committed to fostering sports development across disciplines and supporting the next generation of Jamaican athletes,” Johnson said.
