Buon appetito!
Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Ingredients:
For the meatballs
1/2 lb Arosa German Bratwursts
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 cup finely grated onion
3 finely grated garlic cloves
1/2 cup finely grated carrot
1/2 cup finely grated celery
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Italian herb blend or herbs of choice (optional)
For the pasta
1 pack Delect Spaghetti
1 32 oz preferred pasta sauce
Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)
Method:
For the meatballs, in a medium-sized bowl, grate the onion and garlic together, add the breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings stir to combine. Add the ground beef and ground sausage together in a large bowl, breaking the meat up with a fork.
Form the mixture into small balls and set aside in the refrigerator to form.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil and brown the meatballs on all sides for 5–7 minutes, until golden brown.
While the meatballs are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
In the same skillet add in the vegetables and sauté along with the meatballs.
Pour in 32 oz of your favourite pasta sauce. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
Toss the drained spaghetti directly into the pan with the sauce and meatballs.
Stir gently to coat the pasta evenly.
Plate your spaghetti and meatballs and finish with a generous sprinkle of diced parsley and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
For an elevated touch, pour a glass of El Supremo Cabernet Sauvignon courtesy of Arosa to complement the rich flavours of the bolognese.
Serve and enjoy with friends or loved ones.
