Schoolboy football quarter-finals to resume Friday

KINGSTON, Jamaica— The start of the quarter-finals in the ISSA football competitions, daCosta Cup and Manning Cup, will resume on Friday, the organisers announced Tuesday afternoon.

The quarter-finals which were originally set to start on Tuesday were pushed back a day on account of the passage of Tropical Storm Rafael which caused heavy rains in most parts of the island.

A decision was however taken on Tuesday to push the start of the daCosta Cup and Manning Cup competitions back three more days, until Friday, but the restart of the junior competitions, the Under-14 and Under -16, would resume on Thursday.
