Miss MoneyPenny sets for win number three in Hover Craft Trophy
Tomorrow’s 11-race card features the $2-million Hover Craft Trophy, a prestigious Restricted Allowance I event for native-bred and imported two-year-olds over 6 furlongs (1,200m).
The contest, Race 2 in the BGLC/TOBA Millionaire Series, promises thrilling action as six talented juveniles clash.
The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide’s expert analysis:
1. UNSPUN (USA): (2 dk b/br c by Spun to Run – U Needa Ride) – Finished second by 3 ¼ lengths behind Miss MoneyPenny at 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m) on October 12. With Miss MoneyPenny present in this race, the chances of Unspun winning are very slim.
2. MISS MONEYPENNY: (2 ch f Bern Identity – Pomeroy’s Secret) – The only two-year-old so far to win two races. She is the leading juvenile so far and should continue her winning ways, making three from three.
3. LOVISA: (2 ch f by Soul Warrior – Palace Gold) – Was an impressive winner of 3 lengths over 4 furlongs (800m) on September 28. Lovisa looks the likely one to follow her stablemate home here.
4. BADGAL CALEESI : (2 b f by Buzz Nightmare – Turbina) – Still needs time.
5. BURNING HEDGE: (2 ch f by Hedge Fund – Burning Clearance) – Finished third by some 8 ½ lengths behind Miss MoneyPenny on October 12. Burning Clearance is expected to run well.
6. ALL TOGETHER: (2 dk b/br f by Patton Proud – Storm Girl) – Has no chance of winning.
