WATCH: Man frustrated with voter registration process in Phoenix ahead of US Election Day
PHOENIX, Arizona— Stuart Mazzeo says he is frustrated with having to visit multiple locations to turn in his registration for early voting ahead of United States Election Day on November 5.
He was speaking to journalists outside the Maricopa county recorder’s office in Phoenix, Arizona, dressed in his Halloween costume and makeup.
Mazzeo said he has already walked approximately seven to eight miles in an attempt to register his vote, and plans to visit another office with hopes of doing so successfully.
While not declaring who he is supporting he gave hints that could point to Republican candidate Donald Trump. Despite the issues he faced on Thursday, Mazzeo is imploring others to come out and vote.
Observer Online is touring the Maricopa county recorder’s office as part of the ‘Road to the White House’ reporting tour organised by the US State Department’s Foreign Press Center and facilitated by the American Embassy in Kingston.
The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office is responsible for the mail voting process and maintains voter registration for more than 2.6 million eligible voters as of October 30. It is also the third largest voting jurisdiction.
