St Thomas man, allegedly caught with fake gun, slapped with firearm charges
ST THOMAS, Jamaica – A 23-year-old farmer from St Thomas is facing gun charges after he was caught with a weapon which was later discovered to be an imitation firearm.
Charged with possession of a prohibited weapon is Jermaine Davis of a White Hall address in the parish.
According to reports from the Morant Bay police, a patrol team was on duty in the area on Tuesday, October 29 when they observed Davis standing on the roadway. Upon seeing the police, Davis threw a black object to the ground. He was accosted and upon further inspection, the object was revealed to be a fake firearm. He was arrested.
His court date is being arranged.
