Ocktobah Fest 2024 ends with thrilling performances at JRA
Jamaica Rifle Association (JRA) concluded Ocktobah Fest 2024 on Saturday, October 26 at the JRA Range, with the event marking the final in a series of competitions to determine Jamaica’s representatives for the International Practical Shooting Confederation World Shoot 2025 in
South Africa.
The day was filled with intense competition across multiple divisions, showcasing the skill and precision of Jamaica’s best shooters.
Andy Yap emerged as the winner of the Open Division, with Petrano Belafonte taking second place and Alvin Amore finishing third. In the Production Division, Rohan Wallace claimed the top spot, followed by Sanjay Welsh in second and Anthony Johnson in third.
The Production Optics Division saw Ryan Bramwell clinch first place, with Adrian Randle and Chris Hart coming in second and third, respectively. Meanwhile, in the Standard Division, Darin Richards took first place, with Greg Henry securing second and Thomas Jones rounding out the top three.
On the ladies’ side, Shayon Francis shined bright, earning the High Lady Award. Renee Richki and Yeonie Campbell followed in second and third place, respectively.
This high-stakes competition concluded the selection series to determine Jamaica’s representatives for the World Shoot 2025.
As the planning team finalises the overall points, the excitement remains high as the nation anticipates the announcement of the team that will represent Jamaica on the world stage.
