Patrons ‘Let Loose’
It was a musical mayhem that took place at last Saturday’s staging of Let Loose as patrons ‘got on bad’ dancing to the latest dancehall, hip hop, and Afrobeats tunes.
And, in-between musical selections, patrons formed themselves into a moving train, while others tried out the latest dance moves.
What was interesting was the fact that various street dancers were in attendance, and they took pride in demonstrating the hottest moves to those willing to participate.
So good was the music that there was barely a dull moment at the event.
Music curators, including DJ TZ, Code Red with Spectre, DJ Zacky, Jugglin Masters, and DJ Iconik worked overtime in creating an atmosphere of musical euphoria.
The event, the third staging for the year, was held at the St Lucia Avenue Car Park in New Kingston.
“We got a turnout that wasn’t expected, and the vibes was lit. Thanks to all the persons who came out, and big up to our promoters and partners,” Henry Braham, promoter of Blackwater Entertainment, told the Jamaica Observer.
Martin Lawson, who travelled from St Thomas, said it was his second time coming to the event and he enjoyed himself.
“Nah lie, mi faada, the party shatt. A mi second time a forward and mi a look forward to the next one, u zeet,” he said.
A female, who identified herself as Monique from the Kingston 19 area, said she initially wanted to attend another event.
“My friends were going to a next party, but insisted that we should come to Let Loose, because I saw the promotion on social media and it looked like an event that we didn’t want to miss,” said Monique.
The party came to an end minutes after 3:00 am on Sunday as patrons reluctantly filed their way out of the venue.
