STATHS, Wolmer’s Boys’ draw 2-2 in Manning Cup round of 16

KINGSTON, Jamaica— St Andrew Technical High (STATHS) came from behind twice, including a stoppage time equaliser, to earn a 2-2 draw with Wolmer’s Boys’ in the round of 16 of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup on Friday at Stadium East.

Wolmer’s opened the scoring in the 7th minute when captain Daquan Duhaney comfortably slotted home from close range.

The lead was short lived as STATHS’ Kennardo Gordon’s strike was deflected in by his teammate Christiano Brown to make it 1-1.

Wolmer’s would restore the lead in the 34th minute as Alex Wright had a tap in from six yards.

STATHS, however, wouldn’t be denied as Ajetai Marshall found an equaliser in the 95th minute to make it 2-2.

Both schools now have a point each in Group 3 with Kingston College and Hydel set to clash on Saturday.

The top two from the group will advance to the quarterfinals.
