Mona High drub St Jago high 6-0 in Manning Cup round of 16
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Defending champions Mona High made light work of St Jago High in their opening round of 16 match in the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup with a 6-0 win on Friday at Stadium East.
The game was virtually won after the opening 45 minutes as Mona led 3-0 with Denzel McKenzie, Javier Dunn and Demarion Harris all finding the back of the net.
In the second half, Mona added another three goals; one of which was from goalkeeper Riquelme Edwards who took a penalty.
Mona lead group 1 with three points and St Jago is in fourth without a point. St George’s and Campion will do battle on Saturday in the other group game.
Only the top two from the group will advance to the quarterfinals.
