Fifteen years later, Jamaica’s first Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) remains one of the most memorable events in local shopping history. The one-night shopping extravaganza, now the Jamaica Observer Takes Style Out (TSO) — a three-day shopping event — launched on Wednesday, hours before its October 24 kick-off, with retailers (many of them participants from year one) and sponsors being fêted at AC Hotel Kingston’s Innovation Room. Guests enjoyed crafted cocktails, notably, NCB Miles (Caribbean Sunrise), the Cash Back (Electric Lemonade), and the Style-tober (Shirley Ginger), courtesy of TSO partners National Commercial Bank Limited (NCB), as guest speakers Tamia Carey, founder of STUSH Marketing and Tamia Carey Clothing, and BrandEd principal, stylist Norma Williams encouraged participating retailers to not only understand and deliver what customers want but to also provide an experience that will be positively memorable for their customers.
Take Style Out 2024 is sponsored by National Commercial Bank, Multilink, Island Car Rentals, and EDGE 105.
