‘World Dawg’ remembers fallen friend in touching social media post
Entertainer thanks fans for their prayers following shooting incident in Florida
Social media star Akeen ‘World Dawg’ Dunbar has paid a heartfelt tribute to his friend who was slain in a shooting incident in Miramar, Florida earlier this month that also left him injured.
In a post made to his official Instagram page on Thursday, World Dawg shared a photo of himself alongside the now deceased, identified by his alias ‘Joe’, in happy times accompanied by the lyrics of I Octane’s single, Lose A Friend. In addition to remembering his fallen friend, World Dawg also thanked followers for their prayers, posting a throwback photo of himself as a toddler accompanied by CeCe Winans’ Come Jesus Come.
“Sometimes I fall to my knees and pray. Come Jesus come,” the song said.
Dunbar had been receiving treatment at a Florida Hospital for the gunshot wound(s) he suffered in the incident that took place in a Dunkin’ parking lot.

Reports are that about 3:30 am, the Miramar Police Department received alerts of the shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered shell casings but no victims. Shortly thereafter, police received a call that an adult male had shown up at Memorial Regional Hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police were then alerted that a second adult male victim was found injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
