Full roll-out for Scream on Friday
A line-up of well-known and in-demand DJs comprise the entertainment offerings at this Friday’s staging of Scream.
Scream is an annual Halloween-themed party, which is set to unfold at The University of the West Indies, Mona.
The DJs billed to unleash their musical arsenal include JJ Deadlock and Insaneo from Juggling Masters, DJ Mac and Baba, DJ Vinchi, Fyahman, and DJ Breeze, alongside Jubba Dem.
This is the third staging of Scream, and Keifa Desnoes of Hourz Entertainment, promoters of the event, are pulling out all the stops to entertain the university and college demographic.
“Scream is our way of bringing Halloween and Halloween traditions to Jamaica with a nice island blend. We [Hourz Entertainment] have always prided ourselves in doing unique events and during the first staging of Scream, in 2022, there were very few Halloween events on the island, if any,” Desnoes told the Jamaica Observer.
He added: “For Scream Halloween 2024 we are going all out on our decorations. We want to ensure that when patrons walk into the event they will never forget this experience. From the entrance to the stage everything will be decorated heavily with Halloween-themed props and more. At the same time, the high energy and enjoyment associated with all Hourz Entertainment events will also be preserved creating an unforgettable night.”
Wearing costumes is not mandatory, said Desnoes.
“While we encourage patrons to buy into the concept of Halloween, we understand that for various reasons not all patrons will be attending in costumes or will want to attend wearing costumes and we have absolutely no problem with this. Costume or no costume, you are welcome at Scream,” he shared.
