Mystic Warrior scores with ‘Be Fine’
On-the-rise recording artiste Mystic Warrior has been making a name for himself with the track Be Fine.
The singer, who originates from Clarendon but is now based in Kingston, held a release party for the relatable track back in August, and has since been reaping rewards.
“The song was well received at the single release launch party in August and is well received on social media and shows where I have been performing. I recently performed Be Fine at the Bunny Wailer launch party and one of the guests shared that this song is for her and she was supposed to be there. The responses have been overwhelming in a good way and motivates me to continue to create more positive and uplifting music,” he told Observer Online.
The singer has been in the industry for nine years, and has previously released Mastermind, Dem a Rush and True Love.
Adding that he was inspired to pursue music by his uncle who was a DJ, Mystic Warrior believes he is the total package of a successful singer.
“I don’t just go with the first thing that comes to my mind when I listen to a riddim. I always dig deeper and I believe that my individuality, versatility and approach to creativity sets me apart from others. When I listen to a riddim, the words come organically that is specific for the riddim and this is how I create. I write all of my songs that are housed in my head which I began doing several years back because I realised that whenever I penned a song, I was prone to erasing and rewriting. This shift has propelled me on a higher level when it comes to song writing which works for me. I create and sing based on what I’m vibing and based on what’s going on around me, the world, politics and just life in general that people can relate to,” he added.
Mystic Warrior hopes to collaborate with Beres Hammond and Chronixx. He is working on new singles and an EP for release in the near future.
