Reggae Boyz to face USA in Nations League quarter-finals
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have been drawn to face defending champions United States in the two-legged quarter-finals of the Concacaf Nations League on November 14th and 18th, it was announced on Wednesday during the draw for places.
The draw was conducted in Miami, Florida following the completion of the group stages to decide the match-ups between the qualifiers and the four teams that had drawn earlier byes.
Jamaica, Honduras, Suriname and Costa Rica had qualified from their group stages and were drawn against the US, Mexico, Canada and Panama respectively.
Jamaica will host the US in the first leg on Thursday, November 14 and then travel to the US for the return leg set for Monday, November 18.
The Reggae Boyz qualified for the quarter-finals after topping Group B of League A with eight points, one more than Honduras and Nicaragua who were separated by goal-difference.
According to a release from the Jamaica Football Federation, “After home-and-away play, the aggregate score winner in each match up will advance to the 2025 Concacaf Nations League Finals and qualify for the 2025 Gold Cup. The Quarterfinal losers will progress to the 2025 Gold Cup Prelims, which are scheduled for March 2025.”
