Concacaf to assist with redevelopment of National Stadium
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Concacaf President Victor Montagliani says the region’s governing body is willing to help the Ministry of Sports in the upgrade of the National Stadium in Kingston.
Montagliani, who is on the island, held a press conference at the Jamaica Pegasus in Kingston Wednesday after touring the Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus.
The Concacaf boss met with Sports Minister Olivia Grange who announced on Tuesday that the redevelopment work of the stadium will begin next year.

Montagliani says they will be providing guidance and expertise throughout the project so that more regional events can come to the island.
The Concacaf head leaves the island on Thursday and is expected to watch some matches in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League today.
