She’s That Girl bounces back to winning ways in Reggae 6 Millionaire Make trophy
After a disappointing 11th-place finish in the Jamaica Oaks Classic, She’s That Girl made a triumphant return to the track on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Trained by Steven Todd, the talented three-year-old filly dominated the $1.19-million Reggae 6 Millionaire Make Trophy, effortlessly dispatching her rivals over 5 furlongs (1,000m).
The contest was a Restricted Stakes contest for imported three-year-olds and upward (non-winners of three) and native-bred three-year-old and four-year-olds (non-winners of four).
Jockey Dane Dawkins guided She’s That Girl to the front, setting the pace ahead of Warsaw (Omar Walker) and Motivate Me Baby (Tevin Foster). As the field approached the half-mile (800m) turn, She’s That Girl pulled away, establishing a commanding lead.
Dawkins urged her on, and she maintained her stride, crossing the finish line 3 ¼ lengths ahead of Motivate Me Baby and El Rapido (Aaron Chatrie). The final time for the race was 1:00.2 (23.2 x 47.2).
The victory marked a stellar comeback for She’s That Girl, who had previously faded in the Jamaica Oaks Classic.
