North West Miami Kitchen
This kitchen was designed for one of our favourite clients who we’ve worked with for over 10 years. We’d designed all the other areas of her home while she saved for the kitchen of her dreams.
An avid cook who entertains often, she wanted an oversized range, loads of storage to hide small appliances, and an island that would double as a dining table since we annexed the dining room when we expanded the kitchen. It had been her dream to host her birthday at her home and she finally did that this year thanks to the new kitchen we designed.
The Penthouse Kitchen
Our clients are based in California, but wanted a winter retreat in Miami, a city they’d come to love on their many visits for Art Basel, and more. They wanted their kitchen, in the penthouse of a Coconut Grove high-rise, to be functional for a family of five, but one that gave a clear nod to their love of art.
We did this by reconfiguring the layout to include one large island, minimising upper cabinets and installing a viola marble backsplash to the ceiling. With the continued emphasis on more style than function (our clients rarely cook), we chose a very soft colour palette for the cabinets, hid all the small appliances inside countertop cabinets with retractable doors, and topped it all off with a curved island made of fluted marble.
