Kool Kat’s winning streak continues; Jah Son banks big
Ruddy Allen (Kool Kat) and Jason Duncan (Jah Son) proved once again why they’re forces to be reckoned with in the 2024 Capital Betting and Wagering Limited/Jamaica Observer Tipsters Competition.
Allen, a three-time champion, continued his winning streak, taking home the top spot in the Most Wins category for the third-consecutive quarter. His total of 205 winners left defending champion Bernadette Bishope (Miss Cookie) in the dust, seven winners behind on 198.
“I’m thrilled to be on top again,” Allen said, beaming with pride. “My strategy has been working well, and I’m confident I can keep this momentum going.”
Duncan dominated the Monetary category, raking in a whopping $37,571. This marked his third-consecutive quarter win in the category, solidifying his position as a savvy tipster.
Duncan credited his success to meticulous research and a keen eye for value. “I study the odds, analyse the trends, and trust my instincts,” he explained.
At the prize-giving ceremony held at Escape Bar & Grill on Thursday, Allen and Duncan each received $20,000.
Anthony Allen (Gujurat) secured third place in the Most Wins category with 189 winners, while Kingsley Gentles (The Genius) finished fourth with 184 winners.
The other tipsters are Sherdon Cowan (The General – 183 winners); Donald Bahadur (Sir Donald – 182 winners); Duncan (171 winners); Robert Bailey (Bailey – 169 winners); and Garfield Robinson (Santa – 160 winners).
In the Monetary category, Cowan and Bahadur trailed Duncan with $16,602 and $16,582, respectively. Defending champion Anthony Allen was next with $10,000.
As the competition heats up heading into the final and championship quarter, tipsters will need to bring their A-game to knock Allen and Duncan from their perches.
Will anyone rise to the challenge? Only time will tell.
