Gun, ammo seized on Michael Manley Boulevard

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Taurus 9mm pistol with three 9mm cartridges was found during a stop and search operation on Michael Manley Boulevard in Kingston on Tuesday.

Reports are that about 11:30 am, police acting on information, stopped a white Toyota Axio and searched the vehicle.

During the search, the firearm and ammunition were found in the centre console, the police said.

The driver was taken into custody. His identity is, however, being withheld pending further investigations.
