St Catherine High advances to second round in Manning Cup games

KINGSTON, Jamaica — St Catherine High advanced to the second round of the Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Digicel Manning Cup on Tuesday after a 3-0 win over Papine High.

St Catherine were led by a second half brace from striker Dwight Gentles and a first half strike from Rajae Taylor.

They now move to 16 points in Zone E, three behind leaders St George’s College who got by Norman Manley 3-1.

Group honours will be decided on Friday, October 18 when St George’s host St Catherine.

Papine are set to finish bottom of the group with just one win from their seven games.
