Man charged with girlfriend’s murder
ST JAMES, Jamaica — The police have charged a man from Quarry district, St James with the murder of his girlfriend whose body was found on the Holland road in Trelawny on April 5, 2024.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Sandria Williams of Albion Road in St James.
Charged with her murder is 49-year-old Sherman Sterling, of Salt Spring Road also in the parish. Sterling is also charged with possession of unauthorised ammunition, possession of a prohibited weapon and use of a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.
Reports are that at 7:30 pm, the body of Williams was found on the Holland road. The police said investigations were carried out and forensic data connected Sterling to the murder of his then girlfriend.
On Monday, October 7, a question and answer session was carried with Sterling in the presence of his attorney where he was charged.
His court date is being finalised.
