St Elizabeth man killed after car crashed into tree

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica— A man succumbed to injuries he sustained after his car crashed into a tree at Lacovia in St Elizabeth Sunday morning.

Police named him as Khanija Miller, 29, a construction worker and resident of Burnt Ground near Santa Cruz in the parish.

Police said about 2:00 am Miller was driving a Nissan Latio on the Lacovia main road when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer to the left after the front section made contact with a piece of concrete before hitting the tree, causing extensive damage to the right side of the car.

Miller was taken from the vehicle and brought to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
