Motorcyclist killed in Manchester crash

MANCHESTER, Jamaica— A motorcyclist succumbed to injuries he sustained in a crash on the Mount Olivet main road in north east Manchester on Friday evening.

Police named the man as Jerome Cassie, 26, a landscaper and resident of Hanbury district, Kendal in the parish.

A police report said about 7:45 pm Cassie was driving a motorcycle from Spalding when upon reaching Mount Olivet, a Suzuki Jimny, which was travelling in the opposite direction, failed to keep left and collided with Cassie’s motorcycle resulting in him being flung from the bike.

He was pronounced dead at hospital.
