Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty coming to stores across the C’bbean; Jamaica doesn’t make announced list
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Bajan superstar and billionaire entrepreneur, Rihanna announced on Tuesday that her widely popular Fenty Beauty line of products will be available at several stores across the Caribbean, including in her birth country of Barbados.
While many islanders were excited about the announcement, others questioned why more countries were not selected to be a part of the list, including Jamaica. Jamaica was noticeably absent from the list of countries that will sell the products from the Bajan icon’s million-dollar luxury skin and hair care line.
So far only Barbados, Antigua, Bahamas, Aruba, Bermuda, Cayman, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and St Maarten were announced as countries where the products would be available in stores. The products are expected to go on sale on October 24.
But the post section was flooded with comments questioning Jamaica’s absence from the list.
“So, what Jamaica do why we are not on the roll out list?,” one Instagram user asked.
“Rihanna how you fi do that to Jamaica? Your products would a sell off mi gal,” another commented while another added, “No Jamaica is crazy.”
Fenty Beauty was launched in September 2017. It comprised makeup products and has since expanded to include hair and other skin care products. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna was created with the promise of inclusion for all women with an unmatched offering of shades and colours for all skin tones.
