KFC continues its legacy of supporting gospel’s best at Sterling Gospel Music Awards
Leading the charge in the partnership between the gospel music fraternity and corporate Jamaica, KFC proudly continues its sponsorship of the annual Sterling Gospel Music Awards, celebrating yet another year of honouring the best in the genre.
As the longest-serving sponsor — since 2018 — KFC remains deeply committed to this prestigious event, showcasing its dedication to the uplifting and transformative power of gospel music. This year, KFC’s investment is valued at $750,000 inclusive of its continued sponsorship of the KFC Big Deal Awards of Excellence.
The Sterling Gospel Music Awards has become a cornerstone event on Jamaica’s entertainment calendar, offering a platform to honour those who continue to shape and influence gospel music. Through its ongoing partnership, KFC is helping to ensure that this impactful event continues to grow, promoting the positive and inspiring message of gospel music throughout the island. The KFC Big Deal Award of Excellence recognises pioneers in gospel music who have made outstanding contributions to the genre, inspiring and motivating generations through their musical ministry and faith. KFC is proud to be a part of this recognition and to celebrate these exceptional individuals.
“At KFC, we strongly believe in gospel music’s motivational and transformative power. We are honoured to celebrate and recognise the best of the best in the industry for another year,” said marketing manager at KFC Jamaica Andrei Roper. “It is a privilege to support this event and the exceptional talents who continue to impact lives through music. We believe that every participant is a big deal, and we are committed to supporting these incredible talents who inspire and uplift others through gospel music.”
Each year, KFC sponsors a set of awards specifically for individuals who have made significant contributions to the gospel music industry. In previous years, the awards have highlighted background vocalists, engineers, and sound providers. This year, KFC will honour a set of veteran artistes and groups, celebrating their decades-long impact on the genre and the lives they have touched through their musical ministry.
Expressing her gratitude for KFC’s continued support, executive director of the Sterling Gospel Music Awards Basilia Barnaby-Cuff said, “KFC’s partnership with the Sterling Gospel Awards is unique because of its strong alignment with the values of community, culture, and positivity — principles that resonate deeply with gospel music. By supporting the Sterling Gospel Awards, KFC amplifies our mission to honour gospel musicians who bring messages of hope and spirituality while reinforcing their commitment to community-driven initiatives.”
The awards will take place on October 5 at Emmanuel Apostolic Church.
