Topalone scores with Believe Riddim
Fast-rising producer Jahvoughn “Topalone” Tomlinson has struck gold once again with the release of Believe by Rajah Wild — the first track from the Believe Riddim.
The 24-year-old, who started his professional career just a few years ago, says he is pleased with the progress being experienced just two weeks after the project was released.
“It’s doing good. A lot of songs were released in the same time period [when] this song was released, so people are going to have their ears open. It’s doing well,” Topalone told the Jamaica Observer.
Believe has over 375,000 views on YouTube and is trending at number 15.
Other artistes featured on the rhythm are Chronic Law, Jahshii, Nhance and several others. Their tracks will be released later this year.
The Calabar High School past student was also the composer of Gvnman Spaniard, which featured Skeng and Govana and cited that rhythm as one of his most successful to date.
Meanwhile, the young producer said that he has a knack for music, and is able to seamlessly decide which artistes to pair with each sound.
“Sometimes, I’ll just hear a thing, a build a riddim and listen to it. I have an ear for like which artistes I would put on a riddim, and just give it to them,” he explained.
The producer also said that he plans to pursue a long-term music production career.
“Music is life, and me create music, so a just dat fi me. Mi cyaa stop,” he said.
