High hopes for Socaverse
Kyle Chin, director of Socaverse organiser New Wave Entertainment, promises that the third staging of the event will supersede expectations.
“This staging will be bigger and better. We’ll have special production, unique executions, and captivating decor. Patrons can expect an out-of-this-world experience,” Chin told Observer Online.
The soca and EDM event will be held on November 9 at the University of the West Indies, Mona. Music will be provided by Richie Ras & Copper Cyclone, Brush 1 & Franco, DJ RIO and Selector Watty from Trinidad.
Noting that executing has been going according to plan, Chin added that patrons have shown their enthusiasm with the high volume of ticket sales, so far.
“Ticket sales are going well. Sales so far are already double the patron expectancy compared to our last staging,” he said.
The planning team also comprises Andrew Thompson, Jamaul Hall, Ryan Powell, Daedrick Garvey, Shamar McGrowder, Chelsea Agard, Cashiera Walker and Fabian “Fyahman” Morris.
In the meantime, Chin has touted Socaverse as a unique entertainment product.
“This event offers something truly different from the usual in Jamaica. It’s an experience unlike any other,” he said.
