Body of man swept away by Wag Water River in St Mary found

ST MARY, Jamaica — The St Mary Police have reported that the body of Omar Skyers, the man who was swept away in the Wag Water River, has been found.

Skyers was one of two individuals swept away at the river on Thursday, September 12.

The body of Chrisan Steele, the woman who was swept away with Skyers, was found on Saturday, September 14.

However, head of the St Mary Police, Superintendent Bobbette Morgan-Simpson, informed Observer Online that Skyers’ body was recovered on Saturday.

It is believed that the body was hidden under sand near Flint River where Steele’s body was also found.
