Impressive Force to continue winning ways in RonRon Trophy feature
Tomorrow’s nine-race card is headlined by the 10th staging of the RonRon Trophy, a $1.190-million Restricted Stakes event. Eleven runners will vie for glory over 6 furlongs (1,200m).
The field comprises imported three-year-olds and upward (non-winners of three) and native-bred three-year-olds and four-year-olds (non-winners of four).
The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide’s expert analysis breaks down each runner’s chances:
1. SHE’S A GODGIFT (USA): (3 b f by Wildcat – Ghostly Direction) – Ran a brave race to finish third by 4 ¾ lengths behind Unbelievable Force and Firecracker over 7 ½ furlongs on September 21. Based on that run, She’s A Godgift is poised for another good effort here.
2. CRYPTOGIRL: (3 ch f by Soul Warrior – Twilight Eruption) – Unlikely to contend.
3. QUEEN OF SOUL: (3 ch f by Soul Warrior – Aretha) – Recent winner faces tough repeat bid.
4. MOTIVATE ME BABY (USA): (3 ch f by Union Jackson – On Board) – Finished a good second by 3 ¼ lengths behind upset winner Riches to Rags on August 31. Motivate Me Baby is expected to run well here again.
5. COMMANDER Z (USA): (3 ch c by Khozan – Wontoo) – Was expected to lead home rivals on last but finished third behind Riches to Rags and Motivate Me Baby.
Commander Z has been working well since and could rebound with a win here.
6. BOLD MOVE: (3 b c by Sunshine N Shadow – Money Move) – Has no realistic chance of winning here. Note: Tongue-tie on.
7. MACK AND ROME: (3 b c by Bold Conquest – Gold Miner) – Easy to bypass. Note: Blinkers on.
8. RICHES TO RAGS (USA): (3 ch f by Union Rags – Place Des Vosges) –Came home in second place by 4 ½ lengths behind stablemate Unbelievable Force over 5 furlongs straight (1,000m) on September 7. Riches to Rags can land the gambit.
9. TEFLON DON: (3 b c by Casual Trick – The Lady Scored) – Faces tough competition.
10. PRINCESS AMAHLE (USA): (3 b f by Klimt – Nuestra Union) – Struggling lately, but has potential.
11. IMPRESSIVE FORCE (USA): (3 b c by Klimt – Onebadkitty) – Impressive debut winner on September 7. Impressive Force won by 5 ½ lengths in a smooth 1:00.0 over the straight (1,000m). Could repeat.
