Tattoo artist accused of raping 12-y-o girl
CLARENDON, Jamaica — A Clarendon tattoo artist has been charged with rape after he allegedly lured a 12-year-old girl into his May Pen tattoo shop and had sexual intercourse with her against her will.
Reports are that on Monday, September 24 at about 4:30 pm, a 12-year-old student was on her way home when she met the accused who introduced himself to her.
The accused proceeded to have a conversation with the girl and then, according to reports, lured her to his tattoo shop near-by, where he had sexual intercourse with her against her will.
It is reported that he also threatened the child before allowing her to leave the shop.
She went home and made a complaint to her mother who took her to the police station to make a formal report.
The police later visited the area where the girl was taken and the accused was found. He was arrested and subsequently charged based on the complainant’s statement.
A court date for him is being finalised.
