The people of Jamaica deserve nothing less
Dear Editor,
As the Integrity Commission’s report casts a shadow over the Office of the Prime Minister, it’s imperative that we prioritise transparency and accountability.
The allegations against Prime Minister Andrew Holness are serious and warrant his immediate resignation to ensure an unbiased investigation.
The prime minister’s rejection of some findings by the Integrity Commission falls short of addressing the gravity of the situation. In a nation where leaders are expected to embody integrity, the appearance of impropriety is sufficient to undermine public trust.
Jamaica’s history is marked by courageous leaders who fought for Independence and self-reliance. It’s crucial we uphold these principles by demanding the highest standards from them. The current situation demands nothing less.
The nation’s eyes are on the Jamaica Labour Party and its leader to demonstrate a commitment to good governance.
