NCB platforms crash on pay day

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Commercial Bank’s (NCB) business and personal online banking platforms and mobile application are temporarily unavailable.

This was announced by the bank via X (formerly Twitter) shortly after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, or as most Jamaicans recognise it, pay day.

In a post to the platform, the bank said it is working diligently to restore services as quickly as possible.

However, several disgruntled customers took to social media to complain.

“On pay day is crazy,” one user posted.

“This is a severe inconvenience for me on payday!!!!!” another shared.

“Came here to ask if NCB Business banking is down, but all the comments on here answered the question. @ncbja, what’s up?!!! Pay day enuh!!!!” another user added.
