Humble Lion hold Cavalier to draw in JPL
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 90th minute goal from Odane Murray saw Humble Lion snatch a 1-1 draw against 10-man Cavalier SC in their rescheduled first round Jamaica Premier League played at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon on Wednesday.
Defending champions Cavalier, who had beaten Portmore United 2-1 in their first game, had taken the lead after just six minutes when Kaile Auvray put them ahead.
It appeared that the champions were on their way to back- to-back wins when Murray scored as time ran out to earn his team their second point after consecutive wins.
Cavalier SC played the last 12 minutes of the game with 10 men after Richard King, who had been shown a yellow card in the first minute of the game, was shown a second yellow and was expelled.
Cavalier took over the lead in the points table with four points, one more than eight teams that are tied on three points.
