Yeshie Renee drops some fun
Recording artiste Yeshie Renee is back with a new single that taps into old school dancehall titled Soft Man.
Produced by Kemar Mcgreggor, the track was officially released in August.
“The song is a playful song about the type of man women don’t fancy. A lot of females love it, and I’ve been getting great comments and feedback on social media. I hope it will get the recognition it deserves because it’s a solid song,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
In the music game for about six years, Yeshie Renee is a versatile artiste who combines various styles and genres in her music, inspired by her diverse upbringing.
Exploring her creative gifts from as early as five years old, she has participated in and won several talent show awards with her older brother, reggae artiste Majah Bless, as well as performing with the Tivoli Gardens High School dance ensemble.
Her first official single Ring Ring was released in 2019 and gained much local and international attention.
“My sound is mainly reggae and dancehall, but I would say I have a mixture of styles. Being born in Jamaica and growing up in London around many different cultures, that has influenced my sound so I would say I have an all-rounder, international style,” she said.
With previous releases including Boom, Money Money, and Love Mi Man, the artiste is working towards releasing new material, with several songs and other projects in the pipeline.
She is currently in Jamaica working on her music and promoting with her team.
“I recently shot a music video with Nhance for our song called Strip For You, which will be out soon. I also recorded another video for a song I had done called My Story, which is about the struggles I’ve faced being from west Kingston, and making it out of that. This should be out by November,” Yeshie Renee said.
