Bad weather causes six schoolboy football games to be rescheduled
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Six schoolboy football games that were scheduled to be played on Monday have been rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions and waterlogged fields, the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) announced.
A sustained period of bad weather that saw heavy rains over most of the island on the weekend has seen the rescheduling of five ISSA Manning Cup games and one in the daCosta Cup competition.
The affected Manning Cup games are: Eltham High vs Hydel High; Haile Selassie High vs STATHS; Vauxhall High vs Camperdown High; Bridgeport High vs Jamaica College and Pembroke Hall High vs Excelsior High.
The daCosta Cup game between Little London High and Black River will also be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, three Manning Cup games will go ahead, namely Ardenne High vs Dunoon Park Tech; Calabar High vs Kingston Tech and Papine High vs Norman Manley High.
