As conversations around inclusion become increasingly vital in the corporate world, companies across the island are stepping up to lead the charge. Among them is Red Stripe, which recently teamed up with the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) to host a corporate mingle and panel discussion, under the theme ‘Beyond Labels: A Stigma-Free Workplace’. The event, backed by the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), Jamaica Network of Seropositives (JN+) and United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), provided an engaging platform for discussions on sexuality, gender dynamics, and workplace policies, extending the conversation to the broader Jamaican society.
Held at the Vibes Sports Club at Red Stripe’s Spanish Town Road brewery, the gathering kicked off in a relaxed atmosphere, with guests enjoying pool and domino matches while catching up over Red Stripe beers. This laid-back start set the tone for an evening of meaningful connection as attendees unwound before diving into the important conversations ahead. By the end of the event, participants felt more informed and empowered to foster inclusivity within their own spaces.
