Diddy offers US$50 million bond to secure release
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has offered to post a US$50 million bond to facilitate his release from custody as he awaits trial following his arrest on Monday.
The music mogul was on Tuesday indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He also faces a third charge of “transportation to engage in prostitution,” the US Attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York said.
According to live updates provided by NBC News, Diddy, according to the proposed bail package, also offered to wear a GPS monitor while limiting travel to New York City and Miami, where he’d only be attending court and seeing his doctors and lawyers.
Meanwhile, Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to deny bail for Combs, insisting that the defendant is a flight risk and danger to the community.
Prosecutors provided details of the ‘freak-off’ parties allegedly executed by Combs as they painted a picture of the entertainer’s supposed criminal activities. According to NBC News, hotel rooms where the alleged parties were staged would often sustain damages.
