Toast Wednesdays making mark in Ochi
Dubbed the north coast’s hottest weekly event, Toast Wednesdays, a party held in the resort town of Ocho Rios, has been making the rounds as the most-sought-after midweek entertainment in the parish.
Brand Manager of Toast Wednesdays Nia Souden, says the series is once again creating a buzz in the town among locals and tourists alike, and is now bigger and better than before having ceased hosting due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“We have reclaimed our place as one of the top go-to spots for locals, visitors and tourists in Ocho Rios. And we employ some of the hottest DJs in the industry who keep our patrons dancing to different genres such as dancehall, reggae, soca infused with international top 40, Afrobeats, and pop,” she shared.
Striking the balance between high-energy club scene with authentic Caribbean party, Souden says Toast Wednesdays, is a celebratory event at which partygoers can “toast” to the small and big wins and milestones in their lives.
It is held every Wednesday at the new Omnia Sky Lounge, a new rooftop lounge located at 4 DaCosta Drive in the heart of Ocho Rios, from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am and has a themed staging each week.
“Each week partygoers can expect a different vibe but the same top-notch entertainment,” she pointed out.
The party series, she says, also has a collaboration with Jamaica Union of Travellers Association (JUTA) and Jamaica Co-operative Automobile and Limousine (JCAL) tour drivers who take patrons to and from their hotels.
Souden noted that the event has been attended by several celebrities in the entertainment industry, among them Nigy Boy, Bounty Killer, Popcaan, Stefflondon, Rvssian, international actor Michael Ward, and more.
She said that partygoers also have the opportunity to book their tables online for a more exclusive experience and women are free with RSVP before midnight.
“We are making our mark on the Ocho Rios entertainment scene with our affordable and highly entertaining party series and we want to encourage partygoers that, while they come to have a good time with us, they should drink responsibly,” Souden said.
