Police warn no weed, weapons allowed at PNP conference
THE police have advised people attending the public session of the 86th Annual Conference of the People’s National Party (PNP) at the National Arena today that no firearms, drugs, knives, ice picks, machetes, long umbrellas, glass bottles, or any other item that can be used to cause serious harm or injury will be allowed inside the venue.
Licensed firearm holders have been advised that provisions have been made at the offices of the Firearm Licensing Authority on Old Hope Road in St Andrew for the safekeeping of their guns while the conference is in session.
Firearm holders have also been advised that no provisions will be made at the National Stadium Police Station, or any other police station, for the storage of firearms.
In addition, the police have indicated that everyone entering the National Arena will be searched upon entry, and any item that may be used as a weapon will be seized.
