Tifa and fiancé Dyum celebrate #1 spot on iTunes reggae chart
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Dancehall artiste Tifa and her fiancé Dyum have one more thing to celebrate after their single Callin You skyrocketed to the number one spot on the iTunes reggae chart mere hours after its release on Friday.
The recently engaged couple had teased the song on their social media platforms last Sunday, and asked their fans for feedback. The 20-second clip went viral, but when the track was officially released at midnight Friday, the dancehall diva and her artiste/businessman fiancé were surprised at the overwhelmingly positive feedback to the song.
For Tifa, who has had some major collaborations over her career, sharing in the achievement with her fiancé is a special one.
“I’ve had many major collabs before including Dexta Daps with Jealous Ova and the Grammy Award winning Mr Rastaman with Kabaka Pyramid but it is different when you share this kind of success with someone that you love and are building a life with,” Tifa gushed.
Dyum has expressed gratitude over this latest achievement and his engagement, as he feels he has been attaining personal and professional milestones.
“It is an incredible feeling, hitting milestones in both my personal and professional life— it feels like everything is aligning at once. I can’t help but to feel so grateful for it all. We are taking it one moment at a time and enjoying every bit of this journey,” he said.
The couple had been heavily watched on social media as people speculated over who Tifa’s ‘Emoji Man’ was, as the artiste had concealed the identity of her beau with emojis when she shared pictures to her platforms.
His identity was exposed before Tifa was ready but the couple happily moved on, and soon Dyum popped the question with a tear-jerking proposal of marriage, earlier in September.
It seems there is no stopping for the hot new dancehall couple, as they build their lives, brands, and businesses together while planning a highly-anticipated wedding.
Tifa said she expects to go on tour soon, while Dyum has plans to release more music.
