Sandals describes former senior exec’s allegations as unfortunate, misguided
Sandals Resorts International (SRI), the Caribbean’s leading hotel chain, on Thursday described as “unfortunate and misguided” allegations made against the company by a former senior executive and said it was looking forward to addressing them “through appropriate legal channels”.
The resort group made the comment in a brief statement in response to a law suit filed by Dmitri Singh, the company’s legal counsel.
Singh has made a range of allegations against the company, including breaches of his right to privacy regarding a company computer in his possession and his contract of employment.
“We are aware that a former senior employee of Sandals Resorts recently made several allegations against the company and certain of its executives. We look forward to addressing these unfortunate and misguided matters through appropriate legal channels,” SRI said in the statement.
“Given the employee’s senior position and long tenure with the company, this situation comes as a great disappointment. A further investigation and review of how to proceed in the most appropriate way, including with respect to potential breaches of agreements and other obligations, is currently underway,” the company added.
