G2K urges Golding to disclose names of PNP politicians referred for corruption probe
The young professional arm of the Jamaica Labour Party, Generation 2000 (G2K) is calling on People’s National Party (PNP) President Mark Golding to use the platform of his party’s annual conference on Sunday to disclose the five PNP politicians who have been reported to the Integrity Commission for corruption.
A months-long probe by the Jamaica Observer uncovered that five politicians linked to the PNP and at least three linked to the governing JLP have been referred to the director of investigation at the Integrity Commission (IC) following allegations of illicit enrichment.

In a release on Thursday, G2K said Golding must also tell the country how he intends to treat with the PNP’s “so-called illicit five”.
G2K says ordinarily it is a firm believer in innocence prior to proof of guilt as a critical component of the legal system in Jamaica, but it said it also believes that political leaders must be consistent in their utterances.
“Given that the PNP president had previously called for the naming of those under probe, we are of the view that it would be a dereliction of duty should he not tell the country the truth at the PNP conference about which PNP politicians are under probe for corruption including illicit enrichment,” G2K said.
Golding had been insisting that the PNP has clean hands in the illicit enrichment saga. The PNP president has also called for the naming of those under probe.
“There is more stinking truth to come out cause we want to know who are the six Members of Parliament who are under investigation for illicit enrichment. Don’t hide it, Andrew Holness, I know you know who it is,” Golding stated while addressing a recent PNP meeting.
