Sensational Move’s victory solidifies status as a sprinter of note
SENSATIONAL Move’s victory in the top-rated Overnight Allowance contest on Saturday, September 7, 2024 was another example of his talent and reinforced his position as a force to be reckoned with in the sprint races to come later this year.
Sensational Move was expected to dominate, and dominate he did. He stormed to the finishing line, crossing four lengths clear of rivals in the three-year-old and upward event over the five-furlong (1,000m) straight course. Trained by Gary Subratie, Sensational Move stopped the clock in an impressive 57.2 (22.0 x 45.0).
With Raddesh Roman as the pilot Sensational Move burst out of the starting gates, swiftly claiming the early lead. He set the pace, with Chocomo (Robert Halledeen),
Generational (Paul Francis), and A Gift From Ben (Shane Richardson) hot on his heels.
As the field approached the dummy rials Sensational Move remained in control, his rivals struggling to keep pace. But it was when he hit the main track for the final two furlongs (400m) that he truly unleashed his power.
With devastating acceleration he powered home, leaving his competitors in his wake.
Freedom Street (Arnaldo Bocachica) and Taurus Boy (Richard Henry) trailed behind, securing second and third place, respectively.
