‘Piglet’ charged with murder of 35-y-o
A 22-year-old man has been charged for a murder which occurred on Benbow Street in Admiral Town, Kingston 12, two months ago.
Charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and making use of a firearm to commit a felony is Rajae Lewis from Penn Street, Kingston 12.
Lewis, otherwise called ‘Piglet’ and ‘Bragga’, is charged with the killing of 35-year-old Leroy ‘Pi Pi’ Morgan, a call centre worker from Beresford Street in Admiral Town.
Reports are that around 10:53 pm on July 7, a police team on mobile patrol heard explosions.
The team responded and stumbled upon Morgan lying on his right side along the roadway in a pool of blood. He had multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Morgue attendants took Morgan to the Kingston Public Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Following investigations, police took Lewis into custody on August 31. He was later charged based on witness statements after a question-and-answer session.
