US-based jockey Arnaldo Bocachica set for J’can debut
Renowned United States-based jockey Arnaldo Bocachica is gearing up for his first-ever rides in Jamaica this weekend, securing 10 mounts over two days of racing at Caymanas Park.
The champion jockey from Charles Town race track in West Virgina will be in action on both Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8.
On Saturday, Bocachica will be aboard First Grandson for trainer Patrick Lynch in the first race, Loyal Action for trainer Paul Swaby in the fifth race, Sparkles for trainer Adrian Prince in the sixth race, Freedom Street for trainer Patrick Lynch in the ninth race, and Ultimate Machine for trainer Robert Ffrench in the 10th and final race.
On Sunday, Bocachica will partner with Tuts (trainer Adin Williams) in the second race,
Blitz Strike (trainer Phillip Lee) in the fifth race, Rack Dem (trainer Fernando Geddes) in the sixth race, Provident (trainer Jason DaCosta) in the ninth race (Winston “Fanna” Griffiths OD Classic), and D Head Cornerstone (trainer Peter-John Parsard) in the 10th and final event.
Bocachica will also participate in the planned jockeys’ championship over the two days, teaming up with Oneil Mullings as his partner.
This marks an exciting debut for Bocachica in Jamaican racing, and fans can expect thrilling performances from this talented jockey.
