Killing of Westmoreland’s Most Wanted dubbed a ‘big win’ for JCF
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Following Friday morning’s fatal shooting of one of Westmoreland’s most wanted, police in the area have dubbed the killing as a big win for the parish.
Dead is Carlington Godfrey otherwise called, ‘Tommy’. He was killed during a targeted operation in Little London, Westmoreland.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and acting commanding officer for Westmoreland, Shaunjaye Mitchell, Godfrey was linked to numerous criminal activities and was a frequent feature on the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Wanted Wednesdays campaign.
“The success of this morning’s operation is a testament to the fact that criminals are not welcomed in Westmoreland or anywhere in Area One. This is a big win not only for the parish of Westmoreland but also for the entire Area One where he has been a main feature of numerous operations,” DSP Mitchell said.
Basking in the success of Friday morning’s operation, Mitchell urged citizens to continue cooperating with the police to get rid of criminals operating in the area.
