Three shot, two fatally at Manchester bar
MANCHESTER, Jamaica— Two men were shot dead and another man injured at a bar in Bottom Albion, Manchester on Tuesday night.
Police named the men as Khalou Stultz, otherwise called ‘Rasta’, a 29-year-old resident of Albion and Henry Brown, otherwise called ‘Ice Man’, 44, a resident of Barnstable.
Police said about 9:20 pm, a gunman entered the bar and opened fire on the three men.
An eyewitness told Observer Online that the gunman then grabbed a bag, which reportedly had $100,000 and other items from the bar before fleeing the scene on foot.
Councillor Karl Smith (People’s National Party, Knockpatrick Division) said the area has been quiet for sometime.
“Waking up to the tragic news of another senseless killing in the community of Albion where two young men lost their lives and one is in the hospital with gunshot wounds, it is never a good thing for any community, it instills fear in the community,” he said
“We are encouraging anybody who knows anything to assist the police in bringing whoever is responsible for this to justice,” he added.
Smith, a first time councillor, said he would support any strong security measure imposed by the police in the area.
“Anything that makes the Knockpatrick division safer I am fully involved, I am into it. So, if it means a lockdown, a curfew – as long as we bear fruit from it then I am fully for it,” he said.
