NEPA to clean coastlines in September
The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) will be conducting clean-up activities at two prominent locations for International Coastal Cleanup Day 2024.
This annual global event, which champions the preservation of oceans and coastlines, will take place on September 21 and 22, beginning at 7:00 am at the Palisadoes Shipwreck in Port Royal and the Half Moon Bay Beach in St Catherine, respectively.
To help remove debris and litter from the shores and safeguard the marine ecosystems, NEPA is inviting the public to join these crucial beach cleanup efforts.
To register email at eboniqueblair@nepa.gov.jm or call (876) 754-7540 Ext. 3118.
NEPA says it remains committed to environmental protection and sustainable development in Jamaica.
